Winchester Ammunition has announced an expansion of its high-velocity lineup with new offerings in 12- and 20-gauge shells for 2014.
The ammunition will be offered in 12-gauge, with lengths of 3½-inch featuring 1 3/8-ounce loads in No. 5 shot and 3-inch featuring 1 1/8-ounce loads in BBs. Each of those shells offers a velocity of 1,675 feet per second, according to Winchester officials.
The ammunition also will be offered in 20-gauge, with a length of 3 inches featuring 1 1/16-ounce loads in No. 3 and No. 6 shot. Those offer pellets downrange at 1,475 feet per second.
Blind Side ammunition combines stacked HEX Shot technology with a Diamond Cut Wad. The HEX pellets, shaped much like dice, stack together inside the shell, resulting in as much as 15 percent more pellets in every shell, according to Winchester.
