Cabela’s worked for two years on its newest turkey hunting gear and has reintroduced the Tactical Tat’r 2 Turkey Vest.
It’s available in Realtree® Xtra Green and features a redesigned back with strategically placed breathable foam on pressure points to maximize comfort and airflow. The Speed Seat technology silently deploys and stows the 3-inch-thick, tri-layer Memory Tech foam seat cushion so hunters don’t have to mess with fasteners.
The vest features a flip-down electronics compartment to hold a GPS and a pouch for extra batteries. The right flip-down pocket has padded spacer-foam pockets to store two slate calls. Elastic straps secure three strikers. An alligator clip attached to the vest pocket is an ideal place to keep sandpaper or a scouring pad. On the left chest is a diaphragm-call pocket with wallet on a lanyard and a quick-access locator-call pocket with D-ring lanyard attachment. The Friction Fit pocket stores a box call in silence.
The side water-bottle pocket and zippered accessory pocket are suited for pruners or a small saw. Three front cargo pockets and two interior mesh pockets also add to storage options. Full-shouldered design distributes weight evenly and is shorter for easier access to pockets while sitting. Quick-release buckles in front adjust for a custom fit and easy on and off. The shell is constructed of quiet 7-ounce cotton/polyester twill that is lightweight and tough. The extra-large game bag expands to 9 inches long x 14 inches wide x 10 inches high for carrying decoys and a bird. It has an easy-to-clean interior and removable blaze orange panel.
