Ten Texas Ducks Unlimited chapters made the President’s Elite list as some of the organization’s best fundraising chapters during the past year.
The designation is earned for chapters that raise $100,000 or more for DU’s habitat conservation work. The chapters recognized for their fundraising success are Houston, Dallas, Corpus Christi, Galveston, San Antonio, Mexia, Midland, Navasota, Big Thicket and Sabine.
There are more than 2,650 DU chapters nationwide. DU’s event fundraising system has become a model for other conservation organizations around the world and has funded a significant portion of the more than 13 million acres of wetlands and associated habitat DU has conserved since 1937.
